Net/X™ Remote Temperature Sensors |
|
| |
Net/X provides an entire family of remote sensing products.
The NT-IDS, NT-DUCT, NT-ODT and NT-SUPPLY communicating
temperature sensors are designed to work in conjunction with
the Net/X™ thermostat family. The remote sensor network
allows multiple sensors to be connected in a daisy-chain
manner to a Net/X thermostat. The intelligence of the
network includes automatic averaging if multiple sensors are
connected. The connected Net/X thermostat also automatically
removes the temperature sensor internal to the thermostat
from the temperature calculation. This feature allows the thermostat(s) to be placed in a locked enclosure or a remote
location (such as a closet) without the need to remove the
Net/X thermostat's sensor.
The NT-IDS is the indoor temperature model that allows
remote sensing of temperature in the occupied space, and the
NT-DUCT and NT-SUPPLY include an 8" stainless steel probe &
box for use at a return air duct and supply air plenum,
respectively. The NT-ODT is the outdoor temperature model
that allows monitoring of the ambient outside temperature.
The NT-SUPPLY can be used in place of the outdoor sensor,
allowing monitoring of the HVAC system's supply
air temperature. Integration with the Net/X™ thermostats is
a simple three wire bus supplying power and data to the
thermostat. An external 10K sensor probe may be connected
for complete versatility of environments. Screw terminal
connections are included for power, data, and external
sensors.

NT-IDS Remote Indoor Sensor Module |
|
 |
The NT-IDS connects directly to any
Net/X thermostat or to another remote sensor. The
NT-IDS allows remote sensing of temperature in the
occupied space. Up to six (6) NT-IDS and/or NT-DUCT
sensors may be daisy-chained to a single Net/X
Thermostat.

NT-FS Flush-Mount Remote Sensor |
 |
The
Net/X flush mount remote sensor is designed to work
in conjunction with the NT-IDS remote sensor module
or any other thermostat electronics using a 10K type
III thermistor sensing mechanism. One (1) sensor
can be connected each NT-IDS, replacing the internal
sensor included in the NT-IDS electronics. The
NT-FS is a 10K type III thermistor in a special
enclosure for mounting in sheetrock or in wood,
giving a nearly invisible method of sensing
temperature.
- 10K Type III thermistor
- Head approximately the size of a US dime
- Connects directly to NT-IDS screw terminals
- Wires to Net/X sensor module using CAT5
cabling
- Sheet Rock or Wood Mounting
- Up to 100 feet from NT-IDS
- Measurement range: +24 to +124 degrees F
- Sensor Electronics Module Dimensions: 0.75" Dia x 1 1/8" Deep

NT-ODT
Remote Outdoor Sensor Module |
|
 |
The NT-ODT is designed to sense
outdoor air and send this information by digital
communications to the thermostat. The outdoor
temperature can be displayed on the thermostat.
Additionally, only one NT-ODT is needed for each
Net/X Network Controller. In heat-pump applications
it can also be used to control the balance point and
the auxiliary heat lockout temperatures.
- Connects to a Net/X
thermostat, NT-IDS or NT-DUCT with CAT5 cable
- No addressing needed;
automatically recognized by the Net/X thermostat
- Input/Output/Power on easy
access screw terminals
- Includes a weatherized remote
sensor probe
- Screw terminals included for
an alternate external 10K thermistor
- Wires to Net/X thermostat
using CAT5 cabling
- Up to 300 feet between
sensors
- Measurement range: -22 to
+119 degrees F
- Sensor Electronics Module
Dimensions: 3.5" W x 2.5" H x 0.75" D

NT-DUCT Remote Return-Air Duct Sensor Module |
 |
The NT-DUCT sensor contains the same
electronics as the NT-IDS and it adds an 8"
calibrated stainless steel probe and mounting
hardware. This probe is perfect for applications
where the fan is running constantly during occupied
hours (usually commercial applications). The use of
this version of the sensor allows the system to
operate reliably while removing the issue of
tampering within the space. Up to six (6) NT-IDS
and/or NT-DUCT sensors may be daisy-chained to a
single Net/X Thermostat.

NT-SUPPLY Remote Supply Air (Plenum) Sensor Module |
 |
The NT-SUPPLY sensor contains the
same electronics as the NT-ODT and it adds an 8"
calibrated stainless steel probe and mounting
hardware. This probe is perfect for applications
where monitoring the supply air temperature is
important (usually commercial applications). The use
of this version of the sensor replaces the NT-ODT.
NT-ODT sensors can not be connected to the same
thermostat as an NT-SUPPLY. Only one (1) NT-SUPPLY
can be connected to a Net/X thermostat.
