Network Thermostat and AMX Partner Comprehensive Solution for Heat and Cooling Control

Grapevine, TX, 03/23/2023 – Network Thermostat™ (NetX), a leading provider of connected smart programmable thermostats for commercial applications, and AMX, a leading manufacturer of video switching and control devices, announced today that they have joined forces to provide customers with a comprehensive solution for controlling heating and cooling systems in commercial and residential environments.

The partnership will see the release of an integration driver for AMX that enables the integration of Network Thermostat's X-Series smart[er] thermostats with AMX's control and automation systems. This integration will allow customers to use AMX's user interface devices, such as touch panels, keypads, and mobile apps, to control the thermostats, providing more convenience and ease of use.

"We are excited to partner with AMX to provide our customers with a comprehensive solution for managing and controlling heating and cooling systems of all types," said Jerry Drew, CEO of Network Thermostat. "The integration of AMX's control and automation systems with our X-series thermostats will provide customers with a more complete and convenient experience, while also allowing for advanced functionality and monitoring capabilities via the AMX products and ecosystem."Jerry Drew, Network Thermostat founder and CEO

The integration of the NetX and AMX systems can control a variety of HVAC system types, including rooftops, forced-air splits, fan coil units, VAV and VVT systems, VRFs, and mini-splits. The AMX’s NetLink controller communicates with NetX X-Series thermostats and wired remote sensors to provide valuable insights into how to optimize their heating and cooling systems for greater efficiency.

“For more than forty years AMX’s networked technologies have been simplifying the experience for people controlling their environment and this collaboration with Network Thermostat is a perfect extension of that control for the benefit of our respective customers,” said Chris Backus, Director, Integrated Technologies Group, HARMAN Professional Solutions. “The Network Thermostat engineering team are network and HVAC domain experts which made the co-development of this solution exciting for AMX. We couldn’t be prouder of the outstanding results and trust our integrator customers will agree that we delivered a best-in-class product through this partnership.”
