The Net/X family of Network Controllers and Protocol Converters are the interfaces between the NetX-Web Service and NetworkThermostat's communicating thermostatss.
There are several different network controllers to satisfy
the requirements of any installation. The entire set of interfaces and controllers enable simple integration with
any control system or personal computer. The controllers
accept simple ASCII commands using a published open protocol
and replies with readable text answers. The entire family
of controllers has built-in intelligence to correct
conflicting and illegal thermostat settings to prevent
damage to equipment from programming errors.
All Net/X network
controllers and protocol converters are commercial grade, providing
high reliability in any application. The controllers include
real-time clock/calendars which allows simple, yet robust environment
control. The real-time clock/calendar is a significant importance
to most of our customers because it allows the Net/X systems to
run in 'stand-alone' mode, where no other controller, PC or
automation system is required for scheduling setpoints and modes
of operation. When used in combination with the NetX-Web service or the Net/X
Command Center PC software, simply point and click to create your
schedules, then click to download them into the Net/X network
controller, and you're done! The thermostat schedules will
run automatically at the time(s) designated. There are also
two versions of the controllers, the NT-SSA16/CLK Network Controller
(for 16 or less thermostats) and the NT-SSA32/CLK Network Controller
(for up to 32 thermostats). In addition, using the
Net/X Command Center software allows you to monitor and control
as many Net/X Network Controllers as needed for your site, no
matter how large.
Each of the network controllers and protocol converters can be connected via PC using any of several methods; an RS-232 serial port, a USB-toSerial converter, a standard 9600 external modem, or the most common month, our popular Ethernet Interface .

NT-SSA32/CLK Network

The NT-SSA32/CLK has all the power
and flexibility needed for many projects. This
controller is great for systems that have 32 or
fewer Net/X thermostats. The unit has a complete
real-time clock and calendar, allowing the Net/X
network to become self-sustaining. Using the Net/X
Command Center Software, an entire set of schedules
can be created within a point-n-click Windows
environment and then downloaded into the
controller. Once this is done, the PC (or Modem or
LAN or Internet) can be disconnected and the
controller will run the schedules you entered. The
device can handle a power outage of 7 days without
you having to worry about resetting the clock.
There is room for hundreds of different schedules,
allowing complete flexibility for your needs! The
NT-SSA32/CLK makes medium-sized HVAC control jobs
easier than they've ever been before!

NT-IP232 Ethernet Interface (for LAN and Internet connection to Net/X Controller or Converter) |

The NT-IP232 is a complete Local Area Network adapter designed to work any of the Net/X™ system controllers. The NT-IP232 includes all of the necessary intelligence to enable Plug-n-Play capability between any 10BaseT LAN and any Net/X™ Thermostat network. The NT-IP232 allows simple integration with any Net/X™ Network and a personal computer. One RS-232C and one 10BaseT port is included with the adapter for complete versatility of environments. The unit ships complete with a power supply, a 10BaseT LAN Ethernet cable, and a 9-9 pin serial cable. With the built-in web server and IP address display, installation and set-up takes only minutes to complete. Using this interface, any Net/X network can be accessed over any LAN and over the Internet.
